When I woke up the next morning, I laid half awake on my bed, looking around absent-mindedly.

My study desk, bookshelves, closet, the dark blue curtain, and the coffee stain on the carpet.

Realistically speaking, nothing should’ve changed from yesterday, but somehow everything looked more distinct.

It felt like I was living in an entirely different world from yesterday.

Even my breathing felt light.

Just like what Suzuno told me yesterday.

It felt like I was reborn.

After I left home, instinctively, I went to that place.

A certain park a little off from my usual way to school, the place that was forgotten by everyone. The place where Suzuno and I first met.

Suzuno was here today too, sitting in the park with a piece of melonpan on her lap. Wearing her sailor uniform with her back straight, she looked dignified.

It has been half a year since I stopped coming here regularly.

Did she spend the winter here by herself?

Waiting for me, even though she wasn’t certain whether I’d stop by or not?

Thinking about it made my heart ache. When I took a courageous step forward, she immediately noticed me.

“Good morning, Yuuma. Thanks for yesterday.”

Her smile was so bright that it hurt.

“It’s been a while since we’ve been here together, isn’t it?”

“…Yeah. I made you wait for a long time, didn’t I? Sorry.”

“Don’t apologize,” Suzuno said as she shook her head. Her expression had become more mature and I could feel my heart racing as fast as it did back when I first laid my eyes on her.

I guess that meant I fell in love with her once again.
