- Ch. 1 - Episode 1 p6 - Is there a thing such as a string phone nowadays?
Is there a thing such as a string phone nowadays?
I dive into bed in my uniform again.
I can’t help but feel a sense of déjà vu, partly because I didn’t expect to do the same thing two days in a row. However, I’m sure I’m just as tired as I was yesterday, and I can’t help but have a feeling that it’s going to be a tough day ahead of me.
It’s better than being bored every day, though.
I fumbled with my phone and looked at the screen.
“Where do you want to go on your heartbreak date, senpai? By the way, my clothes will change like this depending on the date location. Please choose the me you like the most~. Oh, I’m sorry, you like all of me, tee-hee.”
And with that, I received several pictures of Lala in her casual clothes, posing.
I see. Is this some kind of spam mail? Or is it some kind of phishing mail?
In the meantime, I’ll just send a random message saying, “You sent to the wrong address.”
And one more notification.
‘I’m sorry for everything that happened today, and I hope you’ll teach me a lot from now on. I apologize for the sudden email.”
This is a disciplined statement.
“I hope you’ll teach me a lot from now on.” The reason why I’m a little thrown off by this part is because I’m still having illusions about Shirahata-san. It’s going to take me a while to get over the fact that she’s actually clumsy since her image is so far removed from my own.
I agreed to Shirahata-san’s request because after that I thought, “This is something I should do.”
I’m honestly not in a position to teach her about love, but given Shirahata-san’s current situation, I felt I was the right person for the job. I’m also afraid to let that thing loose on society.
Well, I guess it’s just something that happens.
I sent her a message saying, “I’ll do my best to help you.”
I don’t usually use my cell phone much, so I was kind of tired just from typing.
It’s amazing what high school students can do nowadays. If they can type that fast, the muscles in their fingers will develop even more than before and become very thick.
It’s kind of funny when I imagine it…
And when I put my junior high school jersey on it… summed me up even more, proving that I’m crazy.
Oh my god.
My phone rang.
I wondered what was going on, and when I looked at it, I saw that the sender’s name was “Karen”.
And the email said, “Open your window”.
I see. This is a more frightening email than the one I got from Lala… Though, if it wasn’t from Karen, it would smell of a rendezvous.
But I had never received this kind of mail from Karen, so I opened the window anyway.
Then, from the window of the house next door, I saw Karen, wearing her junior high school jersey, staring at me with something in her hand.
So my first thought was.
Casual junior high jerseys are the best after all!
“What’s up, Karen?”
“No… well… just take this!”
Then Karen threw something towards me.
It followed a perfect parabola and ended up in my room.
I picked up what was thrown and found that it was a paper cup. It also had a string attached to it.
“…a string phone?”
“That… we should be able to talk through it now!”
Karen then disappeared from the window with a paper cup connected to mine.
I looked at Karen and put a paper cup to my ear for now.
“Ah-ah. Testing, testing. Answer me if you can hear me.”
“I can hear you.”
…What kind of conversation will unfold now…?
Nostalgic string phone, begin.
(TL: HAHAHAHA YOU GUYS GET ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER, but honestly im personally looking forward to the next chap)
